Kadıköy is a large, populous, and cosmopolitan district of Istanbul, Turkey on the northern shore of the Sea of Marmara.

The population of Kadıköy district, according to the 2007 census, is 509,282.

The district is home to the Turkish football club Fenerbahce SK's home venue, the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium. Before Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium was built, the field was known as Papazin Cayiri (The field of the priest) and was property of the Catholic Community. Arazi, 6 Temmuz 1932'de, dönemin Adalet bakanı ve aynı zamanda Fenerbahce başkanı olan Sukru Saracoglu'nun çıkardığı 1213 numaralı kanunla el koyuldu ve Fenerbahce'ye sembolik bir bedelle devredildi. ‎
